The company was started in 1926 by Mr Charles Edward Manton Day, thus C.E.M. Day Ltd. A name sometimes abbreviates to Day's for simplicity. Day's Motor Group are currently celebrating their 95th Anniversary. With multiple premises spread across South and West Wales – including Swansea, Bridgend and Cardiff.
