Saab has decided it's time to upgrade, and they have again chosen Todd Engineering for the job.
Out with the older corner loading spray booth and in with a brand new Poseidon downdraught spray booth with integrated Nitrothermspray.
Here is the original Olympian corner loading spray booth they had installed two years ago. The Olympian is a fantastic booth for smaller Bodyshop, but Saab decided their spray booth also needed to as the company has grown.
Todd Engineering Poseidon spray booth is a high-specification spray booth. The high-performance machine is designed to fulfil the needs of the most demanding Bodyshop.
The Poseidon utilises the latest technology to achieve rapid and efficient process times, featuring Todd Engineering's 'Hydra-cure™' water-based curing system as standard.
Saab has chosen the low level raised floor for the installation of the Poseidon booth, meaning no excavation work was required.
The fully filtered floor area and input air plenum give unrivalled performance regarding extraction and heat dispersion, ensuring a perfect finish every time.
As an additional extra, SAAB has this Poseidon also includes the Nitrotherm Spray, which will significantly improve productivity, reduce costs, lower emissions and deliver consistent, high-quality finishes for all demanding applications.

By heating the nitrogen particles, paint flow improves, meaning less paint is needed to paint the same surface area. It also cuts drying time between coats boosting production throughput. Other green benefits that result from its formula include reduced gas for baking between applications and fewer paint thinners needed, helping to reduce VOC levels.
