Halo ARC picks Hercules Spray Booths

Hercules paint spray booths installed

UK's leading manufacturer and Bodyshop equipment supplier Todd Engineering, has recently installed a Hercules Spray Booth for Halo ARC.

The Hercules booth includes the Greentech E6 robotic gas catalytic drying arch which features nine specific catalytic lamps. The ultra-fast curing times associated with using this present technology Bodyshops with greater throughput, efficiency and vast energy savings compared to conventional curing technologies.

The technology works by passing natural methane or LPG gas through a platinum-based catalyst which works to split the carbon and hydrogen atoms of the gas molecules to create heat. That energy is then passed through the front of the catalyst where it mixes with oxygen; the oxygen combines with carbon molecules to produce CO2 and with hydrogen to create H2O. The result is Infrared energy that is emitted out of the device in a uniform low-intensity heat.

The heat is in the form of medium wavelength energy which has a spectrum wavelength which can directly penetrate the molecule of any paint product; thus allowing a full cure in just a few minutes!

Commenting on the technology, a Todd Engineering official said, "Using patented gas catalytic drying technology, the E6 plus will cure the paint, 100% cross-linked within 5 minutes of exposure. This ensures that vehicles can be buffed after only a short cooling period, thus providing continuous workflow and increasing their bodyshops productivity."

About Halo ARC

The Halo accident repair business is a spin-off from an equally successful sister company – PMC – that also has an enviable reputation for the quality and speed of accident repairs delivered from their existing sites on the south coast. The 'halo effect' of the original PMC business is where their story began.

Established for over 40 years and a trusted supplier to the insurance community, PMC has been the proving ground and ideas laboratory for the new Halo concepts.

Headquartered near Chichester, from where they operate our national repair and customer management centre, they establish local branches only in those areas where their clients deem them to be most valuable to them.

Driven by a desire to lead a disruptive revolution in the supply of accident repair and associated services to their clients we offer a national service, adapted to local conditions, staffed by the highest level of expertise and commitment.
