Paint Mixing Room

Todd Engineering’s Paint Mixing rooms are manufactured to the same high standards as our spray booths, with 50mm double skinned insulated wall panels, LED lighting and extraction at both bench and floor level.

Our standard mixing rooms provide a spacious cabin with room for mixing scheme, workbench and gun cleaner. The white interior finish, filtered air intake and full-length door glass give a comfortable and clean working environment; the cabins meet all health and safety and building regulations for the storage and mixing of paints with a 30-minute fire-resistance rating.

Technical Data:

Construction:

The cabin is constructed using double skinned insulated panels with a white finish both internally and externally. The cabin has a fire-resistance rating of 30 minutes.

Noise Levels:

Comfortable working cabin levels of between 50-55 dB.

Personnel Door:

A personnel door may be fitted in any wall panel, generally to the front or rear of the cabin, to provide a safe fire escape route. The door construction meets the same requirements as the main cabin construction (30 minutes fire resistance), fitted with the door closer, catches & full-length window. The door is fitted with compression seals and opens outwards.

Control panel:

Mixing room controls provide simple push-button controls for lighting and extraction. Standard power requirements are 16A 1P + Neutral + Earth.

Lighting:

The interior cabin is well lit with high-level corner mounted light pods, which are angled to reduce glare and shadowing; these pods are outfitted with an energy-efficient LED lighting system that gives illumination in excess of 1750 lux levels.

Floor Arrangement - Layout:

The cabin is simply constructed on a smooth, flat concrete base with an extraction chest providing extraction at both floor and bench level.

Air Filtration:

The cabin is fitted with forward curved centrifugal fans for the extraction of paint fumes and vapours. The ceiling is equipped with EU2 box filters to ensure that a clean air atmosphere exists within the cabin.
